Progress for Germany’s transition from copper to fiber varies across regions. While urban areas see significant advancements, rural locations often lag. Regulatory hurdles, financial challenges and a fragmented approach to deployment also contribute to slowing down the national rollout. Despite this, the government and private sector recognize the need to collaborate and deliver on the promise of Gigabit Germany.

In this session, Stephan Neidlinger and a panel of industry experts will address key questions, including how Germany’s fiber deployment is progressing and what obstacles remain. They will explore where investment should be focussed and highlight the need for more robust collaboration across Germany’s connectivity ecosystem. They will also discuss whether the vision of Gigabit Germany is within reach.
